The risk you carry
You sourced the carrier, so the failure reads as your judgment. The claim, the calls, and the relationship are yours.
An open board broadcasts the car, the route and the window.
The party who accepts is operating under a real carrier's stolen identity.
An FMCSA lookup confirms the company exists. Not that you are talking to it.
In April 2026 the FBI described criminal groups bidding on real loads under a real carrier's authority, after changing that carrier's contact and insurance information on its FMCSA record. The vulnerability exploited is identity.

The certificate you were emailed is a claim, not proof.
What the network gives you
The carrier you assign is a representation of your name, your company, and your standard. So the vetting happens before you see a request.
Authority pulled from FMCSA. Coverage confirmed in writing with the issuing insurer.
The full file re-verified every 60 days at every tier, authority monthly, spot checks unannounced.
Every request comes from a carrier whose confirmed coverage covers that car on Echelon.
At pickup, the assigned driver and equipment are matched against the file. No match, no load.

What the board shows
You post the load the way you always have. What is different is who can see it, and what it says.
| Shown on the board | Withheld until assignment |
|---|---|
| Origin — city and state | Exact pickup address |
| Destination — city and state | Exact delivery address |
| Vehicle class | Year, make and model |
| Fitment requirements — enclosed, deck height, clearance, winch | Exact dimensions, weight, drivetrain and modification detail |
| Handling — operable or inoperable | Condition photos |
| Tier band | Exact declared value |
| Ship window and offer | Owner name and contact |
The board shows the tier band, never the exact value. A band cannot be sorted for the single most valuable car on it.
The declared value
The declared value comes from you, because it comes from your client — that relationship is yours, not ours. You give us the figure. It sets the tier band the load posts under, and the figure itself stays sealed.
Broker membership
Two packages. A load board plus a carrier-vetting platform runs $480 to $655 a month, and still leaves the insurer call to you.
Standard
$349/ month
Everything required to post, assign, and hold the record.
Premium
$699/ month
Everything in Standard, plus the tools you put in front of your own client.
Subscription only. Echelon is not a party to the transportation contract, takes no commission, and never touches freight funds.
Broker access
During the founding period a limited number of dealers, auction houses, private-sale brokers and collection managers are being invited to post into the founding carrier pool.
Applying creates a pending file for the verification desk. Nothing activates until it clears.
